Embark on a journey of relaxation and education with our special event for Autism Moms! In partnership with Adriana Johnson Fitness and the nonprofit "Sailing Angels," we hosted a 60-minute pontoon boat trip out of Kemah/Clear Lake, offering a peaceful retreat for mothers of autistic children. This serene escape provided these dedicated moms with a much-needed break from their daily challenges, surrounded by a supportive community that understands their journey.

During the trip, I shared vital insights on nutrition and wellness, focusing on the role of biomedical interventions in improving our children's health. Biomedical interventions can address underlying biological issues such as gut health, inflammation, and nutritional deficiencies, which often correlate with autism symptoms. By tailoring nutritional plans and incorporating specific dietary changes, we can mitigate symptoms like irritability, hyperactivity, and digestive issues, significantly enhancing our children's well-being.

As a functional nutritionist and mother of a formerly severely autistic child, I emphasized the importance of personalized nutrition plans, probiotics, and detoxification strategies aimed at reducing toxic loads and enhancing neurological function. Addressing food sensitivities, optimizing vitamin and mineral intake, and supporting detoxification pathways can lead to improvements in communication, social skills, and behavior. This holistic approach not only benefits the children but also supports the caregivers' well-being, making self-care an integral part of the journey.
